Entry Requirements for the Examination in Professional Practice and Management

The normal requirements for entry to the Part 3 Examination-by candidates with UK qualifications-are as follows:

  • ARB Part 1 pass
  • ARB Part 2 pass
  • A minimum of 24 months of authenticated and validated professional training and experience (as laid down in the RIBA Professional Evaluation and Development Record or ASSA Record of Experience or comparable record of experience) at the time of submission of the Part 3 Examination documentation
  • Candidates should note that any experience outwith the UK must comply with Rules 13b and d as laid down by the ARB. Candidates with overseas qualifications will need to submit evidence of their eligibility.

Fees

The full APEAS Fee for 2008 will be £715. This will comprise of a £200 Registration Fee and a £515 Examination Fee which must be paid by the dates indicated in the Important Dates section. A Registration Form can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this page, or can be obtained by e-mailing Dr. Peter Kahan (p.kahan@apeas.org.uk) or from your PSA (Professional Studies Advisor). On receipt of your completed Registration Form and a cheque for the registration fee (made payable to APEAS Ltd.) you will receive a hard copy of the Guide to Candidates Booklet.
